STAY HUNGRY Career Camp at the California Department of Fish & Wildlife featuring Asante Cleveland
with students from the first star academy and big brothers big sisters of greater sacramento
AAP was proud to host its second Stay Hungry Career Camp of 2025—a dynamic and immersive career exploration experience designed for youth ages 16 to 20. This program is part of AAP’s broader mission to expose young people to diverse professional pathways and spark curiosity about future career possibilities.
In partnership with the California Department of Fish & Wildlife, this year’s event will took place on Tuesday, June 24 at the Sacramento headquarters CA Department of Fish & Wildlife.
Participants experienced the following:
Toured the CA Department of Fish & Wildlife campus and gained insight into its unique mission and daily operations
Learned about career opportunities across various departments—from entry-level roles to executive leadership
Engaged in small-group discussions with CA Department of Fish & Wildlife professionals
Attended a special panel discussion featuring a CA Department of Fish & Wildlife leader and former NFL player Asante Cleveland, focused on career-driven learning and personal development
Together, AAP, the Ca Department of Fish & Wildlife, and Asante Cleveland delivered a transformative experience that not only informed but inspired youth to imagine and pursue meaningful careers in fields they may have never considered.
