STAY HUNGRY Career Camp at Sacramento State featuring Otis Amey
with students from Options For Youth Charter Schools
AAP was proud to host its fifth STAY HUNGRY Career Camp of 2025—a dynamic and immersive career exploration experience designed for youth ages 16 to 20. This program is part of AAP’s broader mission to expose young people to diverse professional pathways and spark curiosity about future career possibilities.
In partnership with CSU, Sacramento, Otis Amey, and Options for Youth, this year’s event took place on Friday, November 21st at Sacramento State in Sacramento, California.
Participants experienced the following:
Toured campus grounds and gained insight into its unique mission, culture and student life
Learned about college curriculum across various majors—relating them to career opportunities
Engaged in small-group discussions with CSUS administration, professors and current students
Attended a special panel discussion featuring CSUS administration and former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Otis Amey, focused on career-driven learning and personal development
